Investigators have determined the cause of last week's fire that destroyed a vacant Habitat for Humanity house at 1111 Chester St. was "electrical in nature," city Fire Chief C. Dean Heinbach said.
It is believed that the fire on Dec. 7 started in the area of a ceiling fan in a second-floor bathroom, he said. The blaze caused just under $80,000 damage, he added.
