Engineering firm

promotes 1, hires 2

Christopher A. Fiene has been promoted by Providence Engineering to project manager and is also responsible for managing the Muncy office. Fiene holds a bachelor of architectural engineering degree - construction management option from PennState. Upon graduating, Fiene began his career in the construction industry as a project estimator for a general contractor. As a structural engineer, he designed projects in masonry, steel, concrete and wood. In addition to his background in structural design, Fiene also has an extensive background in client relationships, proposal writing, project estimating and construction administration, according to a news release.

Carmen Beinhauer, a 1988 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a B.S. in hospitality management, has joined Providence Engineering in the role of director of business development. Beinhauer has more than 20 years of experience in business to business sales, leadership, account development and extensive business relationships.

Jennifer W. Fiene is a 2002 graduate of Susquehanna University with a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish, K-12 teacher certification as well as a 2007 graduate of Clarion University with a masters of science degree in library science. Since then, she has contributed to the education field through diverse teaching experiences, a news release said. She began her career by formally teaching high school, middle school, and elementary school. After obtaining her graduate degree, she began working in the various aspects of librarianship. Her various positions have included public services training, reference services, youth services, and more. She held the position of director for two school libraries. She has been able to use her past opportunities to hone her communication, organization, and preparation skills which she uses at Providence Engineering on a part-time basis.

The Hartman Group announces the hiring of Ashia Banghart for the position of client services representative. Banghart is responsible for tracking and resolving client claim issues, managing RFP processes, and various forms of analysis.

Banghart joins The Hartman Group as a recent graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology, where she secured a 3.8 grade point average in the accounting and finance fields and was member of the Student Managed Investment Fund and Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business. Banghart interned in the business office at Allenwood Federal Correctional Complex and has past experience in tax preparation.

Hartman is a regional commercial insurance, employee benefits, and financial services firm operating out of offices in Williamsport, State College, and Duncannon.

Landscape architect recently hired

Steven M. Beattie, RLA has recently joined Larson Design Group (LDG) as a senior project manager/landscape architect in the Site Engineering Group at their branch office in Selinsgrove. In his capacity, Beattie is responsible for complete project management within LDG. As a licensed landscape architect, he will be responsible for site design, site development entitlement services, construction documents, client management, personnel supervision, and construction administration on numerous municipal, commercial, and institutional projects.

Beattie has more than 13 years of experience with expertise ranging from site layout and grading; park and recreation design; streetscape/roadway design; planting plans; utility coordination; site investigation and analysis; and preparation of construction drawings and specifications. He takes an aggressive approach in maintaining a high standard for quality assurance and control while constantly looking for efficiencies throughout the design process. He most recently served as satellite office manager and senior project manager with Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. in their Lewisburg office.

Beattie resides in Lewisburg with his wife Christie and their two children. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University and an Associate of Applied Science from SUNY Cobleskill. Beattie also currently serves as the Board Chairman of the Central Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce.
