Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday (Jan. 4), the Rev. Gwen Bernstine, director of the United Churches of Lycoming County, will be the speaker. She will discuss ways of "Living Fully in 2012." The serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be Pastors Jim and Kathy Behrens. Pastor Kathy is part of the pastoral team at the Loyalsock and Wallis Run United Methodist Parish. The Rev. Dr. James Behrens is the pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1971 Lycoming Creek Road.
