Announcement has been made of the engagement of Ashley L. Marzzacco and Jeffrey A. Hackett, both of Baltimore.
An Aug. 4 wedding at St. Leo the Great Church, Little Italy, Baltimore, is being planned.
Marzzacco is the daughter of Julie and Mark Marzzacco, South Williamsport. She graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 2001. She received a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders in 2005 and a master's degree in communication sciences and disorders in 2007, both from Penn State University. She is employed by Howard County Public Schools as a speech language pathologist.

Hackett is the son of Laura and Charles Hackett, State College. He graduated from State College Area High School in 1998 and received a bachelor's degree in economics from Penn State University in 2003. He is employed by Bridgestone Firestone as the manager of Firestone Complete Auto Care, Columbia, Md.
