More than 21,000 boxes were collected in central Pennsylvania for the Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child.
According to Lycoming County coordinator Betty Lou Wheeland, 21,180 boxes were collected in the area with 2,575 of them from the county.
The shoe boxes, filled with gifts, were distributed to children throughout the world.
