Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday (Feb. 1) Charles Getchel will be bringing his hand bells so that we can enjoy being part of "An Old Fashioned Hymn Sing and a New Fashioned Hymn Ring." Getchel is a member of Pine Street United Methodist Church and he promises that everyone who comes will be able to enjoy participating in this musical program. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be The Rev. Kathleen Ersham. Ersham is the pastor of Third Street and DuBoistown United Methodist churches in Williamsport.
