MUNCY - A Clinton Township man allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl who ran away from a home for juvenile girls, state police said.
Sean Charles Artley, 24, of 65 Sherwood Drive, has been charged with two counts of corruption of minors, according to an affidavite filed by state Trooper Angela Bieber.
The girl told Bieber she had sex with Artley at his residence on Dec. 5, police said.
Present in the bedroom while Bieber and the girl had sex were two other 15-year-old girls, who also ran away from the facility, police said.
According to police Artley admitted having sex with the girl while the others were in the room but claimed he was told by the girls that they were older than 15.
He also claimed be was not aware the girls had escaped from a juvenile facility, police added.
The girls confirmed they made up a false story about getting "kicked out" of a residence. They also confirmed that they told Artley they were older than 15, police said.
Artley was arraigned Thursday on the charges before District Judge Jon E. Kemp and is free after posting bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Friday before Kemp.
