Chocolate lover's festival set in area
LEWISBURG - The Donald L. Heiter Community Center will hold the 14th annual Chocolate Lovers' Fantasy Festival from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the historic Lewisburg Hotel, 136 Market St.
The event will include a silent auction, raffle, music and cash bar.

Legion post to host Valentine's day dinner
LOCK HAVEN - The Lock Haven American Legion Post 131 will hold a Valentine's Day dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 11.

Spinners and Weavers to hold next meeting
MIFFLINBURG - The Susquehanna Valley Spinners and Weaver's Guild will hold a meeting at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Daily Grind, 6404 Turnpike Road.
Guild member Susan Kesler-Simpson, a graduate with a degree in textiles, clothing and design from the University of Nebraska, will present a program about how to sew hand-woven fabric into garments.

Women's club to hold brunch
LEWISBURG - The Lewisburg Christian Women's Club, a division of Stonecroft Ministries, will hold a women's brunch at 8:45 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Country Cupboard Restaurant, Route 15.
The program will feature "Back to Nature" with Jon Beam, Senior Naturalist of Montour Preserve.
Musical selections will be "Hear the Sounds" by Bonnie Loyd. The guest speaker for the morning will be Conaley Visneski of Danville, who will present the program, "Down to Earth."

Sweetheart dance to benefit cancer patient
MILL HALL - The Mill Hall Area Lions are sponsoring a sweetheart dance to benefit cancer patient Mike "Bundy" Coleman from 8 to 11 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Lock Haven Elks Ballroom.
Coleman was diagnosed with a Stage IV malignant brain tumor in October 2011. He had surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, but now relieves radiation and chemotherapy.
Coleman must travel to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, five days a week for radiation treatments. As Coleman is unable to work during this time, the benefit dance will offer much needed support for this young family.
A fee will be charged for the event.
