Veterans outreach set in Westfield, Coudersport

The Bath VA Medical Center is holding two "veterans economic hardship and homelessness assistance stand downs" on Feb. 14.

A morning event will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Coudersport American Legion Post, 2 Buffalo St., Coudersport.

An afternoon event will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Westfield Community Center, 429 E. Main St.

The events are for veterans who are facing severe economic hardship, housing issues or need help accessing health care.

Personal hygiene supplies, military surplus (blankets, boots, coats, sleeping bags) and other give-away items will be distributed while supplies last.

Veterans not enrolled should bring their discharge papers and 2011 income information to determine their eligibility.
