Relay For Life team plans spaghetti dinner
PENNSDALE - The Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Relay For Life Team, God's Speed Walkers, will hold a candelight and violinist Valentine's Day spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. tonight at the Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road.
Relay For Life team to hold bake sale
The Cancer Crushing Pants Relay For Life team will hold a Valentine bake sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Montoursville.
Senior citizens to hold meeting
SALLADASBURG - The Salladasburg Chapter of Lycoming County Senior Citizens will hold its monthly meeting at 1 p.m., Thursday at the Salladasburg United Methodist Church.
The meeting will be followed by refreshments and enetertainment.
Guests are asked to bring an assortment of finger foods to share.
Muncy Public Library announces activities
MUNCY - The Muncy Public Library has announced the following activities:
Valentine Make-N-Take Activity - 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. today for children ages 6 to 12 only.
A hands-on Valentine card-making activity. Materials will be provided by the library.
Friends of the Muncy Public Library Book Sale - 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
All activities take place at the library and registration is required because space is limited.
Green Free Library opens used bookstore
WELLSBORO - The Green Free Library, 134 Main St., will open a used bookstore Tuesday.
The store will be in the back corner room of the library and will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
Romance books during the opening week will be available at a discounted rate.
From now until April 9, the library will not accept any donations until it can sort through the large volume of books it already has.
Beginning April 9, the library will accept donations. However, the library will not accept textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines or Reader's Digest condensed books.
All donations are tax-deductible. Checks for books bought at the library should be made to "Green Free Library."
All funds raised will benefit the library. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
