Women's brunch set at area church
All area women are invited to a brunch entitled, "Winter Morning Getaway Brunch" from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Community Baptist Church, 1853 Route 87 North, Montoursville on Thursday Feb. 23.
The program will include Ruth Fulter presenting, "Gifts in a Jar;" music by Mabel Bosworth, and Dee Billing presenting, "A cinderella Story Where Life Got In The Way."

5K run-walk to benefit cancer
WASHINGTONVILLE - The Conquering Leukemia 5K Run-Walk will be held at 10 a.m. March 3 at Montour Preserve.
This 5K will benefit Chris Potter in his fight against Leukemia.
A percentage of the funds raised will be donated to the Leukemia/ Lymphoma Society.
Potter was diagnosed in 2009 with Leukemia.
The event will be held on the scheduled date, regardless of weather. Participants are encouraged to dress warm.
Registration is required by Feb. 17 to receive a Conquering Leukemia 5K Run/Walk long sleeve T-shirt.
Registration forms will be accepted up to race day.
All registration fees and donations should be made payable to Conquering Leukemia and mailed to 1250 Whitmoyer Road, Watsontown, PA 17777.
Library to hold advance care planning group
MUNCY - The Muncy Public Library will hold an Advance Care Planning Program from 2 to 3 p.m. Feb. 22.
The program will be presented by Dr. Alexander Nesbitt.
Advance Care Planning is the process of considering, discussing, and documenting preferences about care during serious of advanced illness.
Nesbitt will discuss ACP, the role of living wills and advance directives, the 'Pink Card,' and the 'POLST' document. He also will answer any questions.

TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) will hold an open house at 5 p.m. on Feb. 27 at New Covenant United Church of Christ, 202 E. Third St.
