A Loyalsock Township man has been jailed on charges of allegedly raping a woman he met on Facebook.
Sherman Russell Keller II, 29, of 1631 Elwood Road, is accused of raping the woman in his home during the early-morning hours of Feb. 5, according to state police.
"The two recently met on Facebook," a trooper said in an affidavit. "Keller picked up the woman (on Feb. 4) and brought her to his home to watch a movie.
"The woman fell asleep on a couch and when she awoke, she found him on top of her, taking her clothes off," the trooper said.
Keller proceeded to sexually assault her, police allege.
The victim picked Keller out of a photo array of possible suspects as the one who allegedly assaulted her, police added.
Arraigned before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on charges of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault and indecent assault, Keller remains in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
