Providing alcohol to minors alleged

February 15, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

A complaint about "a loud party" in the 900 block of Second Street resulted in charges being filed against a Berks County man, who is accused of providing alcohol to underage drinkers, according to Pennsylvania College of Technology police.

Abas Allie Kamara, 19, of Reading, has been charged with furnishing alcohol to three underage people during a party in an apartment at 939 Second St. about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 20, when officers were called to investigate a report of "a loud party," police said.

Kamara also has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, underage drinking and false reports to law enforcement. The last charge stems from the teen falsely implicating two others for furnishing the alcohol, police said. Following his arraignment last week before District Judge James G. Carn, he was released on $12,500 bail.
