The 2012 Relay For Life of Williamsport, to benefit the American Cancer Society, is seeking teams to participate in the event, which will be held May 18 to 19 in the Williamsport Area High School Football stadium.
Teams must include eight to 15 members. Registration can be done at www.relayforlife.org/pawilliamsport.
A cancer survivor celebration will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. May 18. Susquehanna Health will sponsor a free dinner for a cancer survivor and their caregiver. Reservations must be made by calling the society at 326-4149.
Relay For Life of Williamsport's opening ceremonies will begin at 6 p.m. May 18, which is capped off by the Survivors' First Lap to start the Relay.
The luminaria ceremony will take place at dusk on that Friday evening. Luminaria may be bought in advance or during the event to remember or honor a loved one. Luminaria may be personalized with photos, too. For forms, call the society
