LOCK HAVEN - The Lock Haven University Department of Athletics will celebrate the annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration on Wednesday.
The free program, designed for girls in elementary through the eighth grade, consists of sport clinics run by LHU athletics teams, a pizza party and a chance to catch the Lady Eagle Basketball team in action.
Sport clinics begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Zimmerli Gymnasiums. The program continues down in the Thomas Fieldhouse, where the group wraps up the evening as special guests at the LHU Lady Eagle basketball game versus Indiana (Pa.) University starting at 6 p.m.
Participants need not register, however, it would be helpful for planning purposes to send names and ages of those interested to Mallory Weisen, assistant field hockey coach, at mweisen@lhup.edu or at 484-3997.
