For 10 years, one man dreamed of opening a Philadelphia cheesesteak business in Williamsport, and last December, it happened.
J & J Steak and Take, 761 W. Fourth St., opened Dec. 1 as a third business, following two car washing businesses.
Since the restaurant opened late last year, owners said, business has been so well that they extended the hours to meet the demands.

What owners and staff say makes a J & J Philly Cheesesteak an original one is the roll and the steak. The place they get their steak makes up 90 percent of the suppliers in the large cheesesteak restaurants in Philadelphia. They also use the Amoroso rolls, a Philly cheesesteak has to have.
The business offers a food challenge that has yet to be completed since it started.
The J & J Belly Buster is steak, chicken steak, triple cheese, special sauce and lots of toppings, all wedged into a 22-inch roll.

While takeout is in the name, seating is available. Customers also can watch their sandwiches be made.
J and J are looking to start another business by opening another shop selling cheesesteaks in State College, which could be a fourth business in four years.
