Headaches, migraines topic of program
PENNSDALE - Neurologist Dr. Stuart Olinsky will discuss the causes of migraines and headaches, their treatment and management during a free program at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
At 6:30, Clinical Coordinator and Physical Therapist Dave Johnson will give a presentation headaches caused by poor posture, neck strain, neck sprains and faulty movement patterns.
Attendees will learn better posture and mobility to reduce strain and headaches in this program, which is offered as part of Susquehanna Health's Spirit of Women initiative.
The event will be held at the LifeCenter in the Bon-Ton/JCPenney wing of the Lycoming Mall.

Prepare for childbirth at Evangelical
LEWISBURG - Evangelical Community Hospital will hold the following childbirth classes:
Hello Baby (for siblings ages 2-10): 6:15-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, D&E Conference Room, near Central Registration, $10 per family. Siblings learn how to diaper, swaddle and hold a baby.
Teen Prepared Childbirth: 4-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Community Health Education Center, $10 fee. The course, for all expectant teen parents (or support person) during the last three months of pregnancy, prepares parents for the physical and emotional effects of labor and delivery of the baby.
Prenatal Breastfeeding: 7-9 p.m. March 19, Community Health Education Center, $10 per couple. The class, for all expectant mothers and support persons, covers the advantages of breastfeeding and common concerns associated with it.
Prepared Childbirth: 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, March 28-April 25, at Community Health Education Center, $50 fee. The course guides parents and support persons through childbirth, including labor, delivery, breathing and relaxation.
Prepared Childbirth Refresher Class: Designed to refresh parents on the basics of childbirth and newborn care. Call to schedule.

Breastfeeding class planned
A breastfeeding class will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday at Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Fathers-to-be will discover how important their role is to success. Learn how to get off to the best start with a newborn and how to pump and store milk. The fee for the class is $10 per couple.

Physicians to present sports injury seminars
Orthopaedic surgeons Drs. Meagan Fernandez and Daniel Feldmann will present two sports injury prevention seminars that address the most common injuries suffered by young athletes - knee and shoulder injuries.
Both seminars will take place at Geisinger-Lycoming, 780 Broad St., Montoursville.
Fernandez will present "Play it Safe: Prevent ACL Injuries" at 6 p.m. March 13. The seminar will focus on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, prevention and treatments. Knee stability evaluations will be provided.
Feldmann, chief of sports medicine at Geisinger Medical Center, will present "Don't Get Sidelined by a Sports Injury" at 6 p.m. March 21. He will discuss shoulder injury risks, prevention and treatment options. Also on the agenda are shoulder evaluations and proper throwing demonstrations.

PENNSDALE - A quick and painless ultrasound heel screening that measures bone density level will be held March 14 at the LifeCenter in the Bon-Ton-JCPenney wing of the Lycoming Mall. A $25 fee applies.
