Woman makes purchases with stolen credit card, police say

A Clinton Township woman faces charges for allegedly using a stolen credit card to rack up $1,188 in purchases, according to state police said.

Jolene Dawn Stahl, 29, of 791 Saegers Station Road, has been charged with forgery, theft, theft by deception and access device fraud, police said.

Stahl allegedly used Arlene Peterman's stolen credit card 15 times at various stores between Nov. 13 and Nov. 28, police said. It is believed that the card was stolen from Peterman's home in the eastern part of the county.

Following her arraignment before District Judge Allen P. Page III on Feb. 14, Stahl was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

ATV reported stolen in Muncy Township

MUNCY - Sheldon A. Charles, of Muncy, reported that his 2007 Honda 400 ATV, valued at $4,500, was stolen from 20 N. Middle Road in Muncy Township late Thursday morning, state police said.

It is believed that the vehicle might have been loaded into the bed of a blue pickup truck, possibly a Ford, by two white males, police said.

The ATV is black with chrome wheels and stickers on its front and rear fenders, police said.

Drugs allegedly found on man while he is committed to prison on warrant

When Donald Eugene Summerson was committed to the Lycoming County Prison on a bench warrant on Dec. 3, corrections officers found the 58-year-old man allegedly in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to state police.

Summerson of 44 Jane St., Linden, was taken into custody on the warrant in the 400 block of Fairview Road in Montoursville, police said.

He since has waived his preliminary hearing and is free on $1,500 bail.

Woman faces forgery and theft charges

A Lycoming Township woman has been arrested on charges of allegedly forging a man's signature on a stolen check that she cashed for $120, Old Lycoming Township Det. Christopher Kriner said.

In addition to facing charges of forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property, Tonya Lynn King, 34, of 960 Dauber Road, was taken into custody on two bench warrants that date back to January 2011, Kriner said,

King was arrested on Feb. 11 at the home where she lives with her boyfriend and his father Robert Plank.

She is accused of stealing and cashing a check belonging to Plank in November, Kriner said.

Following her arraignment before District Judge James H. Sortman, King was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Charges withdrawn against Annville man

All charges against Robert Mayfield Jr., 41, of Annville, have been withdrawn by city police.

Mayfield was arrested on charges of simple assault and harassment stemming from a disturbance in which his girlfriend, Olivia Casas, accused him of head-butting her three times at 1106 Walnut St. on Jan. 8.

Man allegedly gave vodka to minors

WELLSBORO - Michael P. Boyce, 51, of Wellsboro, was charged by borough police for allegedly providing vodka to two boys recently.

According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, Boyce was charged with selling or furnishing liquor and tobacco to minors and corruption of minors.

Police said Boyce purchased vodka and cigarettes at a local liquor store on Feb. 24 and gave the items to two 13-year-old boys in Kimball Alley.

He was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail and his preliminary hearing set for March 13.

Woman allegedly took drug pipe to work

WELLSBORO - Alisha N. Hoad, 21, of Bath, N.Y., was charged by state police with possession of drug paraphernalia after she allegedly took a pipe used for smoking drugs to her workplace at Hitachi Metals Automotive Components, Route 287, Delmar Township.

According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, a key chain pipe was found in Hoad's work station by another employee Feb. 3.

She was issued a summons for a March 27 preliminary hearing.

Man charged after alleged drug buy

MANSFIELD - Christopher D. Kinner, 25, of Elmira, N.Y., was charged by state police with criminal conspiracy, intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana after a controlled drug buy in May 2010.

According to documents filed with District Judge James Carlson, a confidential informant arranged to buy an ounce of marijuana for $170 at a location in Mansfield.

Kinner was released on $15,000 bail. A preliminary hearing was Wednesday.

2 charged with drunken driving

WELLSBORO - Two people were charged recently with driving under the influence of intoxicants, according to documents filed at District Judges Rob Repard and James Carlson's offices:

Megan L. Fox, of 10167 Route 6, Wellsboro, charged by state police after she crashed on Charleston Road, Charleston Township, Jan. 28.

John L. Landsborough, 45, of 204 Antrim Main St., Wellsboro, charged by state police following a traffic stop on Route 287, Tioga Township, Jan. 19.

Disturbance alleged

WELLSBORO - Murray F. Johnson, Jr., 44, of 5279 Route 349, Westfield, was charged with simple assault and harassment, according to court records.

According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, Johnson was charged by state police Feb. 1. He was issued a summons for an April 3 hearing.

Woman charged after loaded gun found in car

WELLSBORO - Stephanie A. Uhrick, 27, of 1094 Stony Fork Road, Wellsboro, was charged by Wellsboro police with carrying a firearm without a license after a gun was allegedly found in her car during a traffic stop on March 5.

According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, Uhrick was stopped by police on Pearl Street, and a loaded 40 caliber Taurus was found on the floor of the front seat.

Police said she had two young children in the vehicle.

Police said Uhrick told them the gun belonged to her father, Ralph Uhrick, which later was determined to be factual. She was issued a summons for an April 3 preliminary hearing.
