Abe Lincoln isn't the only president that would be out of sync with the political party that claims him as its founder. Tom Jefferson, venerated as one of the founders of the Democratic Party, would be castigated by the present day Democrats for touting the idea that "the best government is the least government." However, Andrew Jackson, the other Democrat saint, would fit right in given the rampant cronyism of his administration as well as his tendency to overstep his Constitutional bounds.
Lest we forget his famous quote following the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the right of the Cherokee people to keep their land: "The Supreme Court has made its decision. Now. Let them enforce it"
