Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday Eugene Breisch, Marciline Brown and Scott Williams will be the speakers and will discuss two important but relatively unknown ministries in our community, Project Impact and Bridge Haven, and how through these two ministries we are "Helping Families of Inmates." A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be The Rev. Danial Kovalak, pastor of Holy Cross Orthodox Church in Loyalsock Township.
