Announcement has been made of the engagement of Angela Yaw and Jason Starr, both of Hughesville.
A May 12 wedding in Hughesville is being planned.
Yaw is the daughter of Karen and David Yaw, Hughesville. She graduated from Hughesville High School in 1998 and received a bachelor's degree in business administration with emphasis in management and marketing from Bloomsburg University in 2002. She is employed by Construction Specialties Inc., Muncy, as an assistant regional sales manager.

Starr is the son of Elizabeth Forcey, Catawissa, with a special thank you to Jackie and Harry Sampsell, Montgomery, and Helen Gair, Trout Run. He graduated from Montgomery Area High School in 2000 and is employed by Peak Energy, Montgomery, as a solids technician. He served in the Army from October 2000 to October 2005, HHC 4-31 Inf. 10th Mtn. Division, serving three tours of duty, and from March 2007 to March 2009, 327 QM BTN.
