Music Together classes scheduled

Free sample classes for Music Together will be offered Friday and Saturday.

Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners and the adults who love them.

First offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.

The first classes will be held at 10 and 11 a.m. Thursday at the Meadows Assisted Living Community, Montoursville.

The Friday classes will be held at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore, Lewisburg.

All classes are taught by Rachel Ludovico, a board certified music therapist. To register, call 538-5684 or www.musicsthebalm.com.

Women's club to hold brunch

The Christian Women's Club of Williamsport will hold a "March Winds Brunch" for all area women from 9:30 to 11 a.m. March 29 at Community Baptist Church, 1853 State Route 87 North, Montoursville.

The program will include Mike Longstreth from Lazy Meadows Alpacas, who will discuss making and using wool. Music will be provided by Dawn Sanford. Dona Wilt, of Friendship Bible Coffees, will present the program, "Me A Role Model with 7 Moms?"

Spinner and Weavers to hold open house

MIFFLINBURG - The Susquehanna Valley Spinner and Weavers Guild will hold an open house to celebrate their new home in the Daily Grind from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 6404 Old Turnpike Road.

Participants can learn about all the fiber arts with demos from guild members including weaving, felting, spinning, knitting and more.

Library to hold gardening event

MUNCY - The Muncy Public Library will present Master Gardener Holly Howrila from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Muncy Public Library, 108 S. Main St.

Howrila will give hints on how to have a gorgeous garden year after year.

Topics covered will include organic gardening, plants that attract butterflies and birds, lasagna gardening, starting seeds and much more.

Registration is required and can be made by calling the library at 546-5014 or by stopping in.

Lion's Club to hold brunch

The Williamsport Lions Club will hold a spring pancake and sausage brunch beginning at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Boniface Gym on Franklin Street.

The brunch end at 1 p.m. Tickets may be purchased from Lion and Leo Club members; at the Girio Agency, 521 Market St., or at the door. Proceeds benefit Lion and Leo charities.

Bingo fundraiser scheduled

A basket and cash bingo will be held March 31 at the Plunketts Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Earlybird game will be at 12:45 p.m.
