Police identify body found in Susquehanna as New York man

March 22, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

TOWANDA - State police have identified the human remains found along the Susquehanna River in the Hornets Ferry area of Wyalusing Township last Thursday as Keith Allan Slater, 24, of Binghamton, N.Y.

Police said Slater had been listed as a missing person in an investigation there.

Slater went into the Chenango River in Binghamton last Sept. 28, but rescue efforts at that time were unsuccessful, police said.

A cooperative investigation between the state police here, the detective division of the Binghamton Police Department and the Bradford County coroner's office led to the positive identification of the victim on Monday.
