Trumpeter to perform

Trumpeter Catherine Getchell will perform during the 10:45 a.m. service at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St.

NORTHUMBERLAND - Priestley Chapel Associates will present an informal program of words and music from 9:30-10:10 a.m. 1 at Joseph Priestley Memorial Chapel, 380 Front St., with Tom Bresenhan reading several poems of William Jay Smith.

Fellowship dinner

The Farragut Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Route 864 near the intersection with Route 87, will hold its monthly First Fellowship dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. Free-will donations accepted.

THURSDAY

Last Supper drama

MUNCY - The men of Moreland Baptist Church, 588 Cemetery Road, will present a chancel drama re-enactment of the Last Supper at 7 p.m.

Easter cantata

HUGHESVILLE - The choirs of Christ United Methodist and Bethany United Methodist churches will present the "Covenant of Grace" cantata, at 7 p.m. on Good Friday, Christ United Methodist Church, 146 S. Main St.

Family Thrift Shop

Fairfield United Methodist Church, 833 Fairfield Church Road, will hold a family thrift shop from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday with clothing at half price.

Resurrection breakfast

LEWISBURG - Kevin Jordan, chaplain of the Pittsburgh Steelers and on the staff of Athletes in Action, will be the featured speaker during a Resurrection breakfast for men from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Lewisburg Alliance Church, 137 Supplee Mill Road. Also included will be special music and personal testimony. Cost of the breakfast buffet is $10. To make a reservation, call 966-4899. The event is sponsored by area Christian and Missionary Alliance churches.

Easter egg hunt

TURBOTVILLE - Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10275 Route 44 between Turbotville and McEwensville, will hold a community Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m., rain or shine. Call 649-5822 for more information.

Oak Grove Alliance Church, 1681 Fox Hollow Road, will hold an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m., rain or shine, for children age 12 and under.

Chicken and biscuits dinner

WATSONTOWN - Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Drive, will hold a chicken and biscuits dinner at 4 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-12, and 4 and under are free. (A children's meal will be offered). Takeouts available.

Spiritual enrichment day

Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St., will hold spiritual enrichment day. "The Journey" presented by guest speaker Kathy Burkhart, entails forgiveness, restorative justice and reconciliation. Registration is set from 9-9:30 a.m. The program begins at 9:30 and goes until noon, when lunch will be served. RSVP by April 6 to Patricia Wittig at 322-4330.

Lay ministry training

LINDEN - Pine Run United Methodist Church, 1719 Pine Run Road, will hold a Journey of Hope lay ministry training seminar from 9 a.m.-noon. Registration deadline is April 7. Call Brenda or Fred Lovell at 398-3924 for more information or to register.

Strengthen your marriage

Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 100 Walnut St. in Montoursville, will host Dr. Ray Guarendi from noon-3 p.m. for a talk on strengthening "Marriage, Family and Faith." Tickets are $5 each with checks made out to OLOL. A light lunch will be served from noon-1 p.m. and is included in the cost. The deadline for ticket sales is April 9.
