Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. Next Wednesday the Rev. Gwen Bernstine, executive director of United Churches of Lycoming County, will be the speaker and will focus on Jesus' "Great Prayer," sometimes referred to as His "High Priestly Prayer." A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist for Holy Week through Easter Day will be the Rev. Gwen Bernstine. Bernstine is the executive director of United Churches of Lycoming County.
