Garden club holds spring luncheon
Ann Kuntz, president of the Loyalsock Garden Club, announced that the spring luncheon will be held today at Le Jeune Chef on the campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Hostesses are Joyce Davis and Leah Flannigan. The committee is Becky Baker and Amelia Bower.
Club to install officers Thursday
The DuBoistown Garden Club will install officers for the 2012-13 year during a tureen dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church hall, South Williamsport.
The committee for the event is Lee Bryan, Hilda Lupold, Barbara McLaughlin, Rosalie Miller, Edna Schooley, Virginia Schuman, Beverly Stroble and Roberta Wirth.
Seniors to hold spring dinner
SALLADASBURG - The Salladasburg Chapter of the Lycoming County Senior Citizens will hold its annual spring dinner at 6 p.m. April 19, catered by the Pine Run Methodist Church, at the church.
The dinner will be followed with special music by Carl and Opal Schlappi. Hostesses for the event will be Maxine Robinson, president of the group, A. Louise Yerger and Anna M. Miller.
Relay team to hold prom fundraiser
The Cancer Crushing Pants Relay For Life team will hold "Hollywood Nights," a 21 and over prom fundraiser, from 8 p.m. to midnight April 21 at the Old Corner Hotel, 328 Court St.
The event will feature a DJ, dancing, photos, prizes, and the crowning of prom king and queen.
Advance tickets can be bought at the Old Corner, King of Harts, Domer's, Rumrunners, Mill Tavern, Synergy and Amber Rose.

Guild to hold next meeting
MIFFLINBURG - The Susquehanna Valley Spinners and Weavers Guild will hold their next meeting at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Daily Grind Cafe, 6404 Old Turnpike Road. The social time is at 1:30 p.m. and the meeting and program will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
This month, nationally known fiber artist, Sharon Costello will give a felting class to 14 members.
