Covington woman allegedly hits husband with ashtray

MANSFIELD - Helen G. Harbold, 44, of 2853 N. Williamson Road, Covington, was charged by state police after she allegedly hit her husband in the forehead with a glass ashtray during a domestic dispute.

According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, Harbold and Michael D. Harbold argued at their North Williamson Road residence April 5 and she hit him in the head with the ashtray, causing a laceration.

She was charged with simple assault and harassment and released in lieu of $2,500 bail. Her preliminary hearing was set for Wednesday.
