Mr. and Mrs. George Macgill, Forksville, observed their 55th wedding anniversary March 30, 2012.
Mrs. Macgill, the former Deane Rexer, is a native of Philadelphia. She is the daughter of the late Ernestine and Edward Rexer. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952.
Mr. Macgill, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Roxanna and Leonard Macgill. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1950. He began his career in industrial supplies and fasteners more than 40 years ago in New Hampshire.
They are the parents of two sons, Garry and Scott, both of Trout Run, and three daughters, Christine, Rome, Pa.; Dianne Mathis, Leonardtown, Md.; and Amy Charnitski, Dillon, Mont.
There are five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, the couple is planning a trip to Quebec and Montana this year.
