Lock Haven dropped the first game of a doubleheader to California (Pa.), 4-1, before winning the second game, 6-1. Nick Cummings pitched a complete-game five-hitter in the second game and picked up his second victory. Josh Jones backed Cummings with two hits and three RBIs. Central Mountain graduate Scott Zuback went 2 for 3.

In college softball, Jersey Shore graduate Lacy Lose earned two wins with 12 strikeouts as Penn College swept Penn State Greater Allegheny, 5-3 and 8-0.

Mansfield's Erin Carroll homered in both games and the Mountaineers swept Clarion, 7-5 and 8-0.

In tennis, South Williamsport's three singles players didn't drop any games and the Mounties shut out St. John Neumann, 5-0.

Muncy won a pair of three-set matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, but Hughesville swept the doubles and won No. 3 singles to escape with a 3-2 victory.

Liberty's five singles players and two doubles teams didn't drop a set and defeated Williamson, 7-0.

Cowanesque Valley's Brian Fulmer and Matt Sherman won three-set matches at No. 4 and No. 5 singles and the Indians defeated Wellsboro, 5-2, to improve to 11-4.

Lewisburg's Ben Koch dropped just one game at No. 2 singles and the Green Dragons rolled to a 5-0 win over rival Mifflinburg to remain undefated at 12-0.

Bloomsburg took the top two singles matches in a 3-2 victory over Milton.

In softball, Muncy committed five errors and fell in a battle of unbeatens to Southern Columbia, 7-3. The Tigers (8-0) scored in each of the first three innings and added a pair of runs in the fourth and one in the sixth. Muncy starter Amanda Kustanbauter took a pitch off her thumb in her first at-bat, but still pitched six innings, striking out seven. She allowed two earned runs.

South Williamsport broke open a close game with a six-run sixth inning and the Mounties defeated Hughesville, 10-2. Casey Brewer pitched a complete game and drove in two runs.

Emily Shnyder and the Montgomery won its fifth straight with a 27-0 victory over Millville. Shnyder capped a no-hitter, missing a perfect game by one fielding error, while also adding four hits.

Christina Mignot tossed another gem for St. John Neumann as it made quick work of Sullivan County, winning 13-0 in five innings. Mignot fanned ten batters in the process of getting her fourth win of the season. Her 10 strikeouts gives her 70 in seven games for the season. Alana Androvette homered in the first inning with a runner on to start the scoring for Neumann.

Isabella Bubb, a freshman, was called upon for her first varsity at bat in the fourth inning of Jersey Shore's contest against Shamokin. And in her first varsity at bat, she delivered, lining a ball into right field for a 3 RBI triple en route to a 5-1 win.

Mifflinburg pulled away from Loyalsock with a 3-run second inning in a 4-0 victory.

In baseball, Loyalsock overcame a 4-0 deficit after a half inning and remained undefeated in the HAC-II with an 11-5 win over Central Columbia. Kyle Datres relieved starter Luke Glavin and struck out 12 before turning the ball over to J.P. Pawlikowski in the seventh. Jimmy Webb had a home run and three RBI.

Sullivan County's Barry Heinreich hit a walk-off, two-run double to give the Griffins a 17-1, four-inning win over Benton. Jake Gavitt and Lucas Hatton each had a pair of hits and drove in a pair of runs for Sullivan.

Jesse Hulien doubled in the second inning to drive in what proved to the decisive run as Hughesville defeated Mt. Carmel, 2-1. The Spartans were led by a trio of pitchers, including John Poust, who got the win, to hold the Red Tornadoes down.

Muncy took advantage of a two-out error in the third, downing Southern Columbia, 13-1. Clayton Good and Skylar Ebner both doubled in the third and Muncy relied on Doug Zehner, who fanned six batters, the rest of the way.

Sam Rotella had 5 RBI as Mansfield used two 6-run innings to beat Williamson, 13-7.

Wellsboro scored 19 runs in the second inning and defeated Galeton, 28-0.
