Marie H. Rodgers, 91, previously of South Williamsport, a resident of 1900 Ravine Road, Williamsport, died at the Williamsport Home Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Marie was born in Williamsport on Dec. 8, 1920, the daughter of George F. and Pauline Zielewicz Dymeck. She was a member of the former Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She had been employed by the former G.T.E. Sylvania, in Hall Station and with the former Baily Controls Co. on Reach Road.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence A. Rodgers Sr., in 1993. She is survived by her children, Lawrence A. (Ann) Rodgers Jr. of South Williamsport, Michael F.(Diane) Rodgers in DuBoistown and Isabelle R. (Tim) Hetner in South Williamsport. There are grandchildren surviving, Michael Rodgers, Jacqueline Puckey, Kathryn and Joseph Rodgers, Kyle Hetner, Alan Hetner and one great-grandchild, Connor Rodgers. Marie was also survived by her brothers and sister, Isabell Hendricks and Arthur D. Dymeck, both of Williamsport, and Francis J. Dymeck of Montgomery.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Annunciation Church, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Friends may call at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., on Wednesday morning from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery Montoursville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport Home, 1900 Ravine Road, Williamsport.
