WELLSBORO - Free skin cancer screenings will be offered on May 7 by Drs. Darius Abadi and Michael Haraschak. Screenings will be by appointment only and will be performed at the Canyon Surgical Associates office, 1 Main St.
According to the American Cancer Society, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer with more than one million Americans diagnosed yearly.
Abadi and Haraschak will examine participants for suspicious moles and skin lesions that should be biopsied to ensure they are non-cancerous. The most common warning sign for any skin cancer is a change in the appearance of a skin lesion.
