ManorCare Health Services in Williamsport offers ongoing health education seminars to senior members of the local community every other month at its Williamsport campus.
The first event was held in February and included the topic "Beating the Winter Blues," which was presented by Patty Smith, director at Southern Care Hospice in Montoursville. Attendees of the event were also treated to a free pancake breakfast during the seminar.
"Community members who attended the event seemed very pleased with the opportunity to share fellowship with their friends at breakfast while also learning valuable information at the same time," stated Willie Madilia, admissions and marketing director for ManorCare. "At ManorCare, we value these opportunities to give back to our local community."
The next senior breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. April 25 at the ManorCare North building, 300 Leader Drive.
The speaker will be Jean Sullivan, long term care director for the STEP Office of Aging, who will present, "STEP Office of Aging Services: Your Pathway to Independent Living," and include valuable information on all the services the area office can provide to members of the local community.
Seating is limited and reservations are requested by today by calling 323-8627.
