Announcement has been made of the engagement of Susan Marie Peters and Benjamin Sayre Hoopes, both of Bristow, Va.
An Aug. 11 wedding at Juniata College, Huntingdon, is being planned.
Peters is the daughter of David Peters and Jane and Larry Bannon, all of Montoursville. She graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 2004 and received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a minor in communications from Juniata College in 2008. She is employed by Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Falls Church, Va., as a membership coordinator.

Hoopes is the son of Sharon and Buzz Hoopes, Susquehanna. He graduated from Susquehanna Community High School in 2003. He received a bachelor's degree in marketing and Japanese studies from Juniata College in 2007 and is pursuing a master's degree in international marketing management at Boston University. He is employed by Acacia Federal Savings Bank, Falls Church, as a marketing specialist.
