Rosemarie Schmidt and Martin Sylvester, both of Philadelphia, were united in marriage at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011.
The Rev. Charles Zlock officiated at the ceremony held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Philadelphia.
A rehearsal dinner was held at PTG Restaurant, Philadelphia, and a reception was held at Beat Street Station, Philadelphia.

The bride is the daughter of Mary and Fred Schmidt, Philadelphia. She graduated from Arch Bishop Ryan High School, Philadelphia, in 2002 and received a bachelor's degree in nursing from La Salle University, Philadelphia, in 2006. She is employed by The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a cardiac nurse.
Sylvester is the son of Ann Maria and Vito Sylvester, Williamsport. He graduated from Loyalsock Township High School in 2000 and received a bachelor's degree in commerce and engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, in 2005. He is employed by Resolution Management Consultants, Marlton, N.J., as a consultant.
Matron of honor was Coleen Gonglik.
Bridesmaids were Jessica and Lindsay Hemingway and Alexis Cawley, all of Philadelphia and cousins of the bride, and Amanda Green and Laura Shumaker, both of Philadelphia.
Flower grandmoms were Terry Cawley and Dot Schmidt.
Best man was Matthew Sylvester, Rockville, Md., brother of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Caleb Frankel, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Carl Krosnick and Jason Kaye, both of Philadelphia; and Fred Schmidt, Philadelphia, brother of the bride.
Following a two-week trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple is residing in Philadelphia.
