For a long time I have been reading the letters from Mr. Phil Underwood and understand that he expounds the Libertarian view which is fine. However, since in the small space of a Letter to the Editor it is not possible to completely express the other valid view, I would like to recommend reading the book Winner-Take All Politics, How Washington made the Rich Richer and Turned Its Back on the Middle Class by Jacob S. Hacker and Paul Pierson.
I think it can been seen that it is not a level playing field for average people and will never be again.
