The pipeline

April 25, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Let's just suppose there are three men. All three are friends and men of wealth, power, and authority in their respective lands. One is a King over a great land, one is a land baron, and one is a public servant. The land baron and the public servant live in the same part of the land, say Nebraska.

And the land baron heard that oil was coming from the north and would be coming through Nebraska. Now it just happened that the baron had just bought a railroad that goes in that same route and the public servant had bought about seven million shares of stock in it.

Now the king and the baron were great friends and helped each other at times. Now let's say the king blocked the pipeline against the wishes of the people and the unions so as to help the baron and the public servant, who, by the way, went against the wishes of his constituents to help the king.

Of course I'm talking about Pres. Obama, Warren Buffet, and Senator Nelson. So much for job creation and the economy.
