A bad trade

April 27, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

As a student of history, I believe that if you are interested in the future, just look at the past. "I know not what the future may hold but I know who holds the future." In these trying times, it tells us that we cannot place our hope in any man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Pov. 3:5

Germany in the 30's was seeking a leader, someone that would lead them into prosperity, a savior to put their trust in. They made one gigantic mistake. They put their faith and trust in one man, and looked to him to fix their problems. They were willing to look the other way while he fixed the problems.

Now I must pause to make a disclaimer, any similarity between anyone living or dead is purely coincidental. Saying all that to say I am reporting history and making observations or musing if you will acquiesce. The comparison I will leave to you the reader.

Many in America it seems are sitting in the rocking chair of apathy, rocking on the porch of gullibility. The question is how we let our leaders that are supposed to be working for us, our servants, get us in this mess where we owe more than $1 billion per day, everyday, in interest payments, that's interest my friends not one dime on the principle.

They still keep spending our money day after day. You would think that they would stop after they ran out of the people's money, but they got our credit cards. For evil men to prosper they must have someone to vilify, someone to direct the hate and anger to.

So they blame the big oil companies and the rich, they portray them as the evil ones, it is called divide and conquer. We are Americans first then maybe Republican or Democrats politics should not be a team sport. We need to seek the truth, look at what they do, not only what they say.

We need to seek leaders with integrity, morality, and honesty, men that will stand up for the constitution, and what is right for America. And we as American patriots must do our homework seek the truth about our leaders, and don't sit this election out, get informed and stay informed. My friends I am afraid that we our trading our inheritance, for a bowl of tainted porridge.
