Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Lowe, South Williamsport, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary May 5, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. William J. Kearney at Annunciation Catholic Church.
They are members of Visitation Catholic Church, South Williamsport.
Mrs. Lowe, the former Bonita "Bonnie" E. Derr, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Ernestine E. and Elwood M. Derr. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1961. She retired in 2005 after 26 years of service from South Williamsport Area School District.
Mr. Lowe, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Ruth P. and James O. Lowe. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1958 and served in the Army Reserves for six years. He retired in 2004 after 46 years of service from the Grit Commercial Printing Co.
They are the parents of a daughter, Kimberly M. Webster, and a son, John H., both of Montgomery.
There is one grandson and one granddaughter.
In honor of their anniversary, a family trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., in June, and a Caribbean cruise for the couple in October are being planned.
