WELLSBORO - Two people were charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants recently. According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard's office, charged was:
Matthew M. Smith, of 37 Church St., Arnot, by borough police following a traffic stop on East Avenue April 19. He was issued a summons to appear.
Charged at District Judge James Carlson's office, Mansfield, was:
Edwin H. Alvarado, 29, of 57 Melville St., Rochester, N.Y., by state police following a traffic stop on Route 15, Liberty Township April 19. He waived his April 25 preliminary hearing, was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail and his formal arraignment set for May 21.
