Unjustified

April 28, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Pennsylvania Republican politicians blame "voter fraud" to justify their passage of a state law requiring photo ID before we are allowed to vote. As evidence of such "voter fraud" they say that in the United States there are more than 1.8 million deceased people listed as voters.

That's pretty scary stuff. Even if voters can come up with the officially mandated government voter ID, many may not want to venture out to our polling places if that many deceased people are wandering around there trying to vote. I mean Halloween is bad enough.

But you've got to love our Republican legislators and governor for bringing this to our attention and trying to protect us. Let's hope that fewer of those ghosts get to vote in the future.
