Really? Only 27 percent of our registered voters went out to the polls? I can't believe this! This is just the kind of thing that an administration "counts" on when trying to pin down areas of the country and communities that "count on and enjoy" being on their programs and handouts in exchange for votes. It's the kind of thing that gets their votes because they know where to focus and prey on the ones who don't care! I am very ashamed of the 73 percent that didn't make it out to perform their civic duty and their rights as American citizens to vote.
Please don't just focus on the higher offices of government like the president, there are many seats in our local government that matter to you each and every day in your very own community.
Beware of the day when administrations decide for us behind closed doors what we should have to buy, what health care we should have to use which doesn't apply to them at all, beware of day when programs are implemented which upset you each and every day and you raise a fuss and wonder what can be done . . . wait . . . that's happening now!
Guess who should have voted on Tuesday? . . . You!
Get off your duff and become a part of a program where you actually count . . . an active American voter who is concerned about what kind of community you live in, what kind of official is making decisions on your behalf and whether our great country is going to remain a super-power or become a third-world country due to lack of desire, involvement and personal responsibility.
God Bless America!
