After his girlfriend called him on April 15 and told him she was terminating their relationship, George Lee Hoover Jr. allegedly told the woman: "You dead. It's worth going to jail for," city police said.
Jail is exactly where the 25-year-old Hoover, of 1433 Scott St., ended up hours later after he was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats and harassment, police said.
Hoover broke numerous items in the apartment he and Angie DiMassimo shared, police said. He also stabbed her side of the bed 14 times, police said.
Following his arraignment before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman, Hoover was committed to the Lycoming County Prison, but has since been released on $15,000 bail.
