Hite, Wilk lead Montgomery to win

Rebecca Hite doubled and drove in three runs while Courtney Wilk went 2 for 5 with two runs and two RBIs as Montgomery downed Lewisburg, 9-5.

Megan Miller homered in the top seventh and escaped the bottom of the frame with a fielder's choice to second as Hughesville defeated Northwest, 6-5. Miller also scored twice and Courtney Zook doubled, while driving in two runs.

A.J. Morgan went 3 for 3 and hit a two-run home run that ignited a 12-run second inning as Bucktail thumped Benton, 15-1. Chuck Probst struck out five of eight batters he faced as Bucktail improved to 5-5.

Mansfield ended its college baseball season by splitting a doubleheader against Kutztown. The Mounties lost the opener, 9-0, before bouncing back with a 6-3 win. Dylan?Woodworth had two doubles and two RBIs in the game two win for Mansfield.

Bloomsburg came up short in a doubleheader of qualifying for the final spot in the?PSAC?playoffs by splitting with No. 17 West Chester. The?Huskies won game one, 8-3, before losing the second game, 4-0.

Bloomsburg stayed alive in the 2012 PSAC?softball playoffs by defeating Lock Haven, 7-3, in an elimination game. The?Huskies lost in 8 innings to Indiana, 1-0, to drop into the losers' bracket.

Sam?Pientack tied Bloomsburg's single-season home run record with 18 after hitting one against the?Bald Eagles.

Lock Haven soared past No. 2 Kutztown, 9-1, before being eliminated by Bloomsburg.

The Huskies will play Indiana in a rematch this morning at 11 in the PSAC?championship.

Bucknell's Alex MacLean recorded her second shutout of the season as Bucknell defeated Lafayette, 2-0, to split a doubleheader.?The?Bison lost the first game, 2-1.

Mansfield freshman Rachel Tylock finished seventh in the?Olympic Development Women's 5K?Racewalk at the Penn Relays.

Junior Stephen?Romano had his sixth hat trick of the season and helped Lycoming's men's lacrosse team defeat Alvernia, 12-2.

In women's lacrosse, Lycoming junior Brooke Strausser had a hit trick to finish her junior year with the eighth-most goals in a season in school history as the?Warriors fell in the season finale, 18-6, to Alvernia.

Senior Devin?Rachael posted a singles and doubles win to lead the?Lycoming College men's tennis team, but Alvernia clinched a Commonwealth Conference championship berth over the Warriors, 7-2.

In the Patriot League tournament semifinals, No. 1 seeded Navy defeated?Bucknell, 4-1, to eliminate the Bison.

Freshman Abbey Smith won both her singles and doubles matches, but Alvernia won four singles matches to edge out the Warriors, 5-4.

Lycoming's golf team will enter the final round of the Commonwealth?Conference tournament in sixth place after a first round score of 359 at the Hershey?country Club. Freshman Nic McGee led the Warriors with a first round 87.
