Doris M. Evans, 84, of Benton, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at the Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 13, 1927, in Muncy, Lycoming County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond G. Evans Sr. and Amanda (Hunsinger) Evans.
She attended schools in Muncy and Greenwood.

Doris was a member of the Stillwater Christian Church and the Benton Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
The last member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by brothers: Henry E. Evans on Oct. 20, 2000; Raymond G. Evans Jr. on Dec. 17, 2006; Cpl. Donald L. Evans and PFC Robert G. Evans, who were both killed in World War II and Cpl. Max I. Evans, who died on Dec. 19, 1949, also while serving in the military; and by her sister, Fannie I. Evans, who died Feb. 24, 2011. Also preceding her in death were infant siblings, Dorothy, Stella and Harry Evans.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy, with Pastor Joel D. Stauffer officiating.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Columbia Montour Home Hospice, 410 Glenn Ave., Bloomsburg, PA 17815 or to the Benton Senior Citizens Club, Benton, PA 17814.
