In one of three separate shoplifting cases, an Eldred Township woman, already convicted twice of shoplifting, has been arrested for allegedly attempting to steal $40 worth of merchandise from Kmart, 1915 E. Third St., on April 17, state police said.

Harriet James Peters, 57, of 98 Hilltop Road, was arraigned that day before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on felony shoplifting and released on $2,500 bail.

Concerning another shoplifting arrest in the area, Shavonn Abdul Caesar, 20, of 636 Fifth Ave., was nabbed shortly after he fled Kohl's, 251 William St., with $57 worth of clothing about 3:10 p.m. on April 15, city police said.

Caesar, who has one prior shoplifting conviction, automatically was committed to the Lycoming County Prison on a probation violation. Following his arraignment the next day before District Judge Allen P. Page III, he was recommitted in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Amber Catherine Wysocki, 24, of Warminster, has been charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and receiving stolen property after she was caught trying to allegedly steal $13 worth of merchandise from Wegmans, 201 William St., on March 31.

Jailed that day on a probation violation, Wysocki was arraigned April 18 before Page and recommitted in lieu of $5,000 bail.
