Community Theatre League has grown into regional impact

May 3, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

The Community Theatre League held its 35th anniversary gala recently at the Williamsport Country Club.

The milestone gives us an opportunity to salute the organization for what it has brought to the fabric of the community.

Over the years the League has staged its quality performances in the basement of the then Lycoming County Historical Museum and at a building on Washington Boulevard.

But its move to a state-of-the-art theatre facility in downtown Williamsport's Trade and Transit Centre has allowed the Community Theatre League to develop into one of the city's prime touchpoints.

The founders and leaders and all who have contributed to the portfolio of the Community Theatre League over the past 35 years deserve praise for the hard work and vision that has made the organization an artistic force with regional impact.
