TIOGA - Jeffrey A. Hutcheson, 28, of Tioga, was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle crashed around 5 p.m. According to state police, Hutcheson was traveling off the Route 15 northbound off-ramp onto Route 287 on his 1999 Ducati motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve in the ramp.
The bike then traveled off the west side of the roadway into a grassy area, fell onto its right side and slid into a traffic sign on the west side of the ramp. The bike then began to roll and overturned an unknown number of times before coming to rest in the grassy area west of the off ramp on its right side.
Hutcheson, who was wearing a helmet, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by Tioga County Chief Coroner Dr. James Wilson.
