I was happy to open the Sun-Gazette and discover a Navy Corpsman was featured in your "Defenders of Freedom" series.
As a retired Marine, I would like to salute Hospitalman Grant Reeder and the Corpsmen throughout the world that he represents ... both past and present!
In combat, it is men like Grant who often are the deciding factor whether a wounded Marine "makes it" or doesn't. In Vietnam I saw first-hand the dedication, professionalism and heroism these young men displayed day in and day out while treating wounded Marines.
I am sure all Marines join me in saluting this young man and everyone he represents. In the article, Grant says .... "I wanted to go somewhere and have an influence".
He can rest assured he did!
