Mr. and Mrs. David H. Nyman, Williamsport, are observing their 70th wedding anniversary today, May 6, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Clarence Kresge at the home of Mr. Nyman's parents in Mill Hall. They attend God's Missionary Church, New Columbia.
Mrs. Nyman, the former Myrtle Clara Confair, is a native of Muncy Valley. She is the daughter of the late Clinton and Edna Sterner Confair. She retired from Williamsport Area School District where she was a cafeteria employee.

Mr. Nyman, a native of Lock Haven, is the son of the late Earl and Carrie Wagner Nyman. He served in the Army during World War II. He retired from Beiters Home Center, South Williamsport.
They are the parents of four sons, David R., Perkasie, Walter D. and Paul D., both of Williamsport, and Gary W., Cheektowaga, N.Y., and two daughters, Sandra J. Reitz, Clarion, Iowa, and Karen G. Lehman, Williamsport.
There are 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a celebration, hosted by their children, will be held in June.
