A resident of the Newberry Estates at 2500 Federal Ave. has been charged with false reports to law enforcement for reporting a fictitious incident to city police.
Cheryl J. Wallis, 48, claimed she was attacked in her apartment by a man armed with a box cutter on March 25, police said. However, investigators determined that the incident never took place.
Following her arraignment last week before District Judge James Carn, Wallis was released on $2,500 bail.
